How to Delete a Google Docs Hyperlink (Guide with Pictures)

The steps in this article were performed in the desktop version of the Google Chrome Web browser, but will also work in other desktop browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

Step 1: Sign into your Google Drive at https://drive.google.com and open the document containing the hyperlink you wish to remove.

Step 2: Click on the link.

Step 3: Click the Remove link button on the pop-up menu.

The anchor text should still remain, but the clickable link should now be gone.

You can always add the link again by highlighting the text to link, then clicking the Hyperlink button in the toolbar above the document.
