How to Find the Word Count in the Google Docs iPhone App (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 11 in iOS 14.3. I am using the most current version of the Docs app that was available when this article was written.
Step 1: Open the Google Docs app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select the document for which you would like a word count.
Step 3: Tap the button with three dots at the top-right of the screen.
Step 4: Choose the Word count option from the menu.
Step 5: Find the document word count under Words.
Note that this menu also displays a character count both with and without spaces.
Additional formatting options and document options can be found by tapping the pencil icon at the bottom-right of the screen.
